Launched in late 1999, initially as a joint venture between One2One and the world famous Virgin Group; Virgin Mobile was the first ever Mobile Virtual Network Operator. As a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, Virgin don't maintain their own network but leased the network of One2One (now Everything Everywhere).
Virgin Mobile offer contract and pay as you go airtime, mobile broadband and handsets bearing their brand that have been made my by third party manufacturers. With network coverage supplied by the combined forces of Orange and T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile subscribers (of which there in excess of 4 million) get great value and great signal.
