The Sony Ericsson Vivaz follows on from the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and is the second mobile phone in the new family of communication entertainment phones coming to market in the first half of 2010.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz is a quad band mobile phone with 3G (HSDPA), GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and microUSB v2.0 connectivity. It's powered by a 720 MHz, PowerVR SGX Graphics processor with 75 MB internal memory and 8 GB transflash memory (microSD card) running a Symbian Series 60 operating system.

With Sony Ericsson Vivaz communication truly becomes entertainment with high quality HD video allowing consumers to produce and broadcast their best experiences with the latest video capture and sharing features. The Vivaz has 3.2 inch colour TFT touchscreen display (360 × 640 pixels and 16 million colours) with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and turn to mute for snoozing alarms.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz is equipped with a 8 megapixel digital camera with autofocus, LED flash, video calling, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection and smile detection. Use it to record spontaneous moments and memories in HD quality and crisp high resolution for a real-life video experience. The dedicated video key allows consumers to shoot video instantly with continuous auto focus for the perfect film every time.

Other features of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Silver mobile phone include: vibrate alert, MP3 ringtones, speakerphone, 3.5 mm audio jack, XHTML web browser (NetFront), stereo FM radio, GPS receiver (with A-GPS support and WisePilot navigation), Google Maps, Twitter and Facebook apps, YouTube/Picasa integration, music player (supports MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC and M4A music formats), video player (supports WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP formats), TV out, organiser, QuickOffice document reader, gesture control, voice memo and T9 predictive text.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Silver mobile phone weighs 97 grams and is 12.5 mm thick (full dimensions 107 × 51.7 × 12.5 mm). It supports a stand-by time of up to 430 hours and a talk time of up to 13 hours.
