Since the first Nokia Navigator made its appearance in the UK two years ago, Nokia has been updating and improving its location based services steadily and has now introduced the latest arrival in its Navigator line, the Nokia 6710 Navigator mobile phone. The recent integration of Nokia Maps with Ovi allows people to pre-plan their journey at home on their PC and synchronize with their mobile device. Additionally, Nokia Maps has been updated to include a number of new features such as high-resolution aerial images, 3D landmarks for over 200 cities, terrain maps, weather service, premium travel and events content and traffic and safety warnings. With both of the new devices including a compass, working in conjunction with the new features of Maps, the pedestrian navigation experience has been significantly improved. Included inbox is the Nokia CR-111 car holder, which cradles the Nokia 6710 Navigator easily in the car and completes the driving navigation solution. The Nokia 6710 Navigator is a quad band mobile phone with 3G (HSDPA), GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 connectivity. It's powered by an ARM 11 600 MHz processor with 50 MB of internal memory, expandable up to 16 GB with a microSD card (4 GB card included with the mobile phone), running a Symbian OS 9.3 (S60 rel 3.2). The Nokia 6710 Navigator mobile phone has a large 2.6 inch colour TFT display (240 × 320 pixels and 16 million colours) with touch sensitive zoom bar below the display and an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. Nokia have included a high quality camera in the 6710 Navigator, featuring: 5 megapixel, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, LED flash and video record at 15 frames per second. It supports a stand-by time of up to 444 hours, talk time of up to 7.5 hours and a music play back time of up to 25 hours.
