Motorola has launched its first Android Powered mobile phone device: DEXT? with MOTOBLUR? Motorola's unique solution for its Android portfolio.

The Motorola Dext mobile phone on Orange Racoon 35 gives you 600 anytime minutes to any network and 500 text messages per month. Inclusive minutes are to UK landlines (01 and 02 numbers) and other mobiles phones. Any inclusive minutes not used will not roll over to the next month. Line rental is £35 per month over an 18 month contract.

Deal includes unlimited calls to standard UK landlines and 3 months free line rental saving £105 over a 18 month contract. Plus Orange Magic Numbers, Orange Wednesdays, Orange gigs and Tours and optional free home broadband!

3 months free line rental is a redemption offer. This can be redeemed as cash back to your bank account at fixed intervals throughout your contract. 18/24 month contracts are redeemed in 5 equal stages after months 4, 8, 12, 15, and 18. You will need to send copies of your Orange mobile phone bills in order to prove that you are still paying for the contract.

Developed by Motorola, MOTOBLUR is the first and only solution to sync contacts, posts, feeds, messages, e-mails, photos and more?from sources such as Facebook®, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail?, Yahoo, your work e-mail and LastFM ? and automatically deliver it all to the home screen.

The Motorola DEXT MB220 is a quad band mobile phone with 3G (HSDPA - 7.2 Mbps), GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 connectivity. It is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7201A 528 MHz processor running the Google Android v1.5 (Cupcake) operating system. It has 1GB of internal memory and a 2GB microSD card.

The Motorola DEXT MB220 has a large 3.1 inch TFT touchscreen display (320 × 480 pixels and 256000 colours) with an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn off, full QWERTY keyboard with 5-way navigation and MOTOBLUR UI with live widgets. There's also a 5 megapixel digital camera with autofocus and geo-tagging.

Other features of the Motorola DEXT mobile phone include: vibrate alert, polyphonic ringtones, MP3 ringtones, AAC ringtones, speakerphone, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS receiver with A-GPS support, noise cancellation with dedicated microphone, digital compass, Google Maps with Street View, music player (supports MP3, eAAC+, WAV and WMA9 formats), video player (supports MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV9 formats), organiser, document viewer, voice memo and T9 predictive text.

The Motorola DEXT MB220 mobile phone weighs 163 grams and is 15.6 mm thick (full dimensions 114 × 58 × 15.6 mm). It supports a stand-by time of up to 320 hours and a talk time of up to 6 hours.
