The Nokia N86 is a fantastic mobile imaging device, combined with wide angle Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for panoramic pictures, dual LED flash, geotagging via GPS, integrated kick stand, variable aperture and an 8 megapixel sensor, resulting in picture quality and features comparable to a stand along digital camera. It excels in both bright and low lighting (shorter latencies and variable aperture) and is optimised for both video and still imaging.

"People demand mobile cameras that take excellent pictures in all light conditions," says Juha-Pekka Sipponen, Director, Nokia Nseries. "That's why the aperture of the Nokia N86 8MP is comparable to that of a high-quality, stand-alone digital camera. Whether it's running with the bulls in Pamplona or capturing the panoramic beauty of a sunrise over Sydney, the Nokia N86 8MP will take brilliantly clear, wide-angle images that are instantly geotagged to be uploaded onto sites like Ovi Share or Flickr."

"When it comes to taking the best digital photos, it's the quality of the lens and the sensor that count, not just the quantity of pixels. The Nokia N86 8MP is the first mobile device with variable aperture, adding to the Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for excellent results. It has never been easier to capture special moments in such a great quality," says Helmut Heier of Carl Zeiss.

The Nokia N86 is a quad band mobile phone with 3G (HSDPA - 3.6 Mbps), GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and micro USB 2.0 connectivity. It comes with a massive 8 GB of internal memory and support for microSD cards up to 16 GB. The N86 is powered by an ARM 11 434 MHz processor running a Symbian OS v9.3.

It offers a bright AMOLED (240 × 320 pixels and 16 million colours) display with a scratch resistant hardened glass and an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. The Nokia N86 mobile phone is equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack, stereo speakers and dedicated music keys. Every detail of the Nokia N86 is thoughtfully designed.

Other features of the Nokia N86 mobile phone include: vibrate alert, polyphonic ringtones, MP3 ringtones, secondary video call camera, stero FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter, GPS receiver with A-GPS support, dual slide design, digital compass, music & video player (supports MP3, MP4, eAAC and WMA formats), office document viewer and TV out.

The Nokia N86 mobile phone weighs 149 grams and is 16.5 mm thick (full dimensions 103.4 × 51.4 × 16.5 mm). It supports a stand-by time of up to 312 hours, talk time of up to 6.5 hours and music play back time of up to 25 hours.
