Expected in July or August 2008, the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is a top of the line BlackBerry smartphone featuring premium design and unprecedented performance; perfect for business professionals and power users.

Crafted from premium materials, inside and out the BlackBerry Bold is designed to give business professionals and power users unprecedented functionality and performance. It is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world and comes with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi, as well as a rich set of multimedia capabilities. As with all modern BlackBerry devices, the BlackBerry 9000 Bold has a QWERTY keyboard and a miniature trackball for on screen navigation.

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 weighs 133 grams with dimensions 114 × 66 × 14 mm. The Bold 9000 supports a stand-by time of up to 310 hours and a talk time of up to 5 hours.

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 has the following features: quad-band (GSM), tri-band (HSDPA), 3G, 65000 colour display (480 × 320 pixels), full QWERTY keyboard, trackball navigation, polyphonic ringtones, MP3 ringtones, vibrate alert, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, microSD card slot, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, SMS, MMS, email, instant messaging, web browser, 2 megapixel camera, built in GPS, BlackBerry Maps, document viewer/editor, Java, music player (MP3/WMA/AAC+), video player (DivX/WMV/XviD/3gp), voice dial, built in handsdree, voice memo and 1GB internal memory.

Unofficial news is also circulating about two new devices, a flip phone codenamed BlackBerry Kickstart and a touchscreen device codenamed BlackBerry Thunder. The BlackBerry Thunder is expected later in the year and is rumoured to have a full touchscreen interface with no physical keyboard.
