Updated iPhone launched in the USANew Apple iPhone 16GB released in the USA. Apple has launched an updated iPhone in the USA. Despite speculation and expectations, it's not a 3G iPhone. The udpated iPhone simply has more memory - 16 gigabytes as opposed to 8 gigabytes in the original iPhone. O2 have updated their iPhone tariffs. For £35 per month customers now get 600 minutes and 500 texts, for £35 per month. Two other tariffs are available with 1200 minutes and 500 texts for £45 or 3000 minutes and 500 texts for £75. All tariffs are subject to an 18 month contract and include unlimited data and Wi-Fi. Activation of iPhone and connection to the O2 network is different from any other device in the mobile market. Once you've got your iPhone, you have to enter into an 18 month pay monthly contract with O2 on one of the exclusive iPhone tariffs. Registration is done online via the itunes web site. You need to be over 18, pass a credit check and have a bank account for the monthly direct debits.
